Black in Physical Sciences
A space for our school's Black community members to connect
Wednesday, February 3, 2021 | 5:00 p.m

Calling all Black students, postdocs, faculty and staff!

The School of Physical Sciences hosts monthly zoom events for the Black community in the departments of chemistry, Earth system science, mathematics, and physics & astronomy. These events offer an opportunity for Black individuals to connect with one another in an informal setting, meet colleagues in their fields, and exchange resources and ideas.

Black in Physical Sciences takes place every first Wednesday of the month and the next event is taking place on December 2, 2020. Please help us spread the word to your Black colleagues in Physical Sciences! Zoom information will be sent to those who register.

Visit the school's Black Thriving Initiative page for information on other events and initiatives happening across the School of Physical Sciences. For questions contact Tatiana Arizaga at

The Department of Earth System Science acknowledges our presence on the ancestral and unceded territory of the Acjachemen and Tongva peoples, who still hold strong cultural, spiritual and physical ties to this region.
