Position description

The Department of Earth System Science (ESS) at the University of California, Irvine seeks an Academic Coordinator for a new initiative to develop a Cultural, Learning, and Institutional Model to Accelerate Transformations for Environmental Justice (CLIMATE Justice). The Academic Coordinator will collaboratively vision, plan, implement, evaluate, and operate our postbaccaulaureate and graduate fellow education and training programs and coordinate with UCI faculty, staff, students, and community partners, with the goal of building a CLIMATE Justice learning ecosystem.

The initial appointment is for one-year appointment with a starting salary of $75,000 and is potentially renewable for 4 years or more, see salary scale here This position will be based in the Department of Earth System Science, but the candidate will work closely with and be physically housed in the UCI Research Justice Shop. The start date is flexible, ideally sometime in the Spring of 2023.
