Susan Trumbore

Professor (20%), Earth System Science — UC Irvine

Susan Trumbore uses stable and radioisotopes to study how the Earth's natural exchanges of greenhouse gases between land and atmosphere are altered by human activity. She is a founding member of the Earth System Science Department at UC Irvine, and a co-director of the WM Keck Carbon Cycle Accelerator Mass Spectrometry Facility at UCI.

Primary affiliation: Susan is now part-time (20%) faculty at UC Irvine. Her primary appointment is as Director of the Biogeochemical Processes Department at the Max Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry, in Jena, Germany. She maintains active grants and collaborations with UCI faculty.
