13 UCI faculty members make prestigious list of highly cited researchers

Clarivate designation includes those who have ‘demonstrated significant and broad influence in their field.’

13 UCI faculty members have qualified for Clarivate’s 2023 list of the most influential researchers – as “demonstrated by the production of multiple highly cited papers that rank in the top 1 percent by citations for field and year.”

They are Amir AghaKouchak of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering; James S. Bullock of the Department of Physics and Astronomy (dean of the School of Physical Sciences); Steven J. Davis and James T. Randerson of the Department of Earth System Science; Greg J. Duncan of the School of Education; Susan M. O’Brien, Sai-Hong Ignatius Ou and Nosratola D. Vaziri of the Department of Medicine; Xiaoqing Pan of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering; Vojislav R. Stamenkovic of the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering; Julian F. Thayer of the Department of Psychological Science; Huolin Xin, Department of Physics and Astronomy; and Candice L. Odgers of the Department of Psychological Science.
