have been warming since the 1950s, and the Indian Ocean has
warmed since the 1960s.
q This increase is superimposed on
substantial global decadal variability.
q More than half the heating is contained in the uppermost 300 m

it is equivalent to an average temperature increase of 0.037ºC/decade.
