Increase of N2O Concentration
qThe atmospheric concentration of nitrous
oxide (N2O) has increased by 46 ppb (17%) since 1750 and continues to increase. The
present N2O concentration has not been exceeded during at
least the past thousand years.

a third of
current N2O emissions are anthropogenic (e.g.,
agricultural soils, cattle feed lots and chemical industry).
