Patrick A. Rafter is looking for students who are interested in working in a lab. This is a volunteer position, but transition to credit or part-time employment is possible.
Below is a brief synopsis of his research and the positions available:
"I am interested in understanding the relationship between the oceans and climate on a variety of timescales; from the seasonal to the ice ages. My work uses seawater, the geological archives (ocean sediment, corals, etc.), and available databases to reconstruct past ocean conditions in regions that are sensitive to global climate variability. I have a variety of interesting projects / studies under way and I welcome students with any level of research / laboratory experience.
Don’t want to work in a lab, but have experience with Matlab? I have a project for you too.
