The trilogy of air pollution “holiday effect” in Taiwan

This talk will introduce a series of three research works on air pollution “holiday effect” in Taiwan. Part 1 investigates the significance of holiday effect of air pollution in the Taipei Metropolitan area, associated mechanisms for ozone holiday effects, and the trend of holiday effects during the study period. The 2nd part examines the regional anthropogenic sources, associated significance and regional characteristics of holiday effect of air pollution in Taiwan, and relationship between holiday effect of air pollution and the degree of urbanization and regional anthropogenic sources. The impact of holiday characteristics and holiday day numbers on holiday effect of air pollution in the metropolitan Taipei is studied in Part 3.
