In response to Governor Jerry Brown’s drought emergency declaration for California, UC Irvine students are taking matters into their own hands. Those enrolled in Regional Environmental Issues are using their collective voice to make the water shortage an everyday concern on campus. “Above all, we want our fellow Anteaters to understand the severity of the situation and to ingrain it into their lifestyles,” said George Atalla, a senior environmental science major.
