Kurt Solander

Board Member, Presenter

Kurt is a PhD student in Earth System Science at the University of California, Irvine.  His research examines changes in California's water resources in light of demand and supply shifts from a growing population and changing climate.  He has a master's degree in Hydrology from the University of Nevada, Reno and bachelor's degree in Earth and Planetary Sciences from Washington University in St. Louis.  He came back to academics recently after spending several years in the private industry largely because of his belief that education provides the most effective mechanism to solve real world problems in water resources.
