Assistant Professor in Atmospheric Chemistry or Biogeochemistry

The Department of Earth System Science at UC Irvine is recruiting a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the areas of atmospheric chemistry or biogeochemistry. We particularly encourage applicants that use novel field observational approaches for the study of fundamental processes regulating the composition of the atmosphere, or biosphere-atmosphere exchange. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, aerosol and trace gas dynamics, geochemical and isotopic tracers of biosphere fluxes, and other topics related to global environmental change. The candidate should complement the Department's existing strengths in atmospheric chemistry, ecosystems, climate and global change. Candidates are expected to develop an active research program, and to teach and direct research at the undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate levels.
