Students in the Ph.D. program have the opportunity to travel the globe doing research and participating in conferences. Each of the placemarks on the map indicates a destination for one or more students or alumni.
This tower now holds an eddy covariance system that Ed Read built. He designed and built this 450-foot floating boardwalk and a floating platform for the tower in 2003.
This is used in class instruction and students conduct measurements along it. Greg Winston helped Ed with the building and installation. Power logistics were a chore but we got it running! Could anyone ask for a more exciting job?
